Purighalla Wellness offers personalized Ayurvedic consultations while also serving as an educational bridge between evidence-based medicine and Ayurveda. Ayurveda, India's traditional system of health and healing, whose name means "the knowledge of life," provides a comprehensive framework for understanding how lifestyle, nutrition, herbal medicine, daily routines, and mind-body practices can be individualized to improve health, resilience, and overall well-being.
For individuals, we develop practical, personalized lifestyle recommendations grounded in Ayurvedic principles to help restore balance, enhance vitality, and support long-term physical and mental well-being. Our approach is intended to complement, not replace, the care and recommendations of your physician, supporting informed, shared decision-making.
For healthcare professionals, workplaces, and community organizations, we provide educational programs that translate Ayurvedic concepts and principles into language that can be understood through a modern scientific lens. Our goal is not to replace conventional medicine, but to foster thoughtful dialogue, reduce misconceptions, and encourage meaningful collaboration where appropriate, in support of evidence-based care.

Purighalla Wellness offers personalized online wellness consultations designed to support your unique health journey. Drawing from the principles of Ayurveda, we provide individualized guidance on nutrition, physical activity, daily routines, mental focus, stress management, emotional well-being, and, where appropriate, herbal medicine in coordination with your healthcare provider. Our goal is to empower individuals with practical, personalized strategies that help cultivate lasting health, resilience, and a greater sense of balance and fulfillment.
In addition to one-on-one consultations, Purighalla Wellness offers corporate, academic, and community-based wellness workshops focused on cultivating mind-body balance. Topics include Ayurvedic nutrition adapted to both Western and Eastern dietary preferences, yoga postures, pranayama (breathwork), meditation, and practical lifestyle strategies that participants can incorporate into everyday life. Ayurveda is a knowledge system of health and well-being and does not require adherence to any particular religion, philosophy, or spiritual tradition. Individuals of all backgrounds and beliefs are welcome.
To further support lifelong learning, we regularly share short educational videos on our YouTube channel that explore both the science and philosophy of Ayurveda through the lens of modern medicine. These videos are designed to deepen understanding of where Ayurvedic principles can thoughtfully complement contemporary healthcare and support modern health and healing.

Ayurveda is an ancient holistic system of medicine from India that promotes health by aligning the body, mind, and spirit with the rhythms and laws of nature. It views the body as a microcosm of the universe, made up of the five elements, earth, water, fire, air, and space, which combine to form three vital energies or doshas: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. Each individual has these doshas in unique ratios.
A core principle of Ayurveda is that "one size does not fit all." Each person has a unique constitution, and true healing comes from restoring balance according to individual needs. Ayurveda doesn’t simply address symptoms. It takes time to understand the details of your symptoms, daily routines, lifestyle, emotional patterns, environment, and more to tailor its recommendations specifically for you.
Importantly, Ayurveda places great emphasis not just on what you eat, but on how well you digest and absorb food. Strong digestion, known as agni, is considered the foundation of good health. Even nutritious food can create imbalance if it's not properly digested, so Ayurveda focuses on supporting digestive strength to ensure effective nutrient absorption and toxin elimination.

I didn’t begin practicing yoga until my mid-forties, and at the time I couldn’t even touch my toes. Now, in my late fifties, my body has certainly presented me with some of the familiar surprises of aging. Yet what has fascinated me most is not what time has changed, but what it continues to teach.
The photographs you see on this website are simply snapshots of my own path. I share not as a show case of achievement, but in the hopes they may encourage someone else along the way.
Like a gardener lovingly tending a garden, may we all nurture our health and well-being with the same patience, curiosity, and compassion
